I have question.....

Just before Christmas I went on a trip to France and Belgium. I toured the WWI battle sites, on the last leg home on the M6 I experienced difficulty getting gears.

In fairness, I've had the car for four years and its behaved great for me.

I've whittled it down to the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.

Does anyone have a part number or match for either the repair kit for the slave or both units?

Are they British Leyland units?

Also, the next obvious question is how 'difficult' is this and do I need broken hands?

Thanks in advance....

Give Neil a shout at ML Performance Parts - ex TVR Car Parts.

He'll sort you out.

If you want someone to fit them for you, then Colin's your man at TVRSSW - same physical location as Neil above

No connection with either, just a very happy customer.

Actually Colin fitted a new clutch, master and slave cylinder to my Chimaera last week.

Info I have is: Master : Girling 64066117 Kit=SP2102 (A search for this part links back to PH which is reassuring)

Slave is possibly a Lockheed 99364 - this post may help: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I've got a new master cylinder in the garage going spare (let me know if you want to cover the costs of what it cost me (£55) and i'll get it posted out to you).
