Hi just wondered if anyone can offer some advice .. Started having problems a few months ago where whilst driving along it seemed like was getting a flat spot , as quick as it happened is a quick as it went and this happened randomly . The problem gradually started happening more often so I put some comma diesel magic in the tank thinking it may have been a clogged injector . Since putting the diesel treatment in the car has completely got worse to the point if I put my foot down on the throttle it will chug and bounce all over .. This will happen in 2nd gear and up and power seems to tapper off around 4000rpm ! Car temp sits at 70 and should sit at 90 so replaced the coolant temperature sensor thinking that could be contributing to the problems but it still sits at 70 and hasn't made a difference .
I have cleaned the egr out , new fuel filter , checked pipes and hoses and so on .
I disconnected the MAP sensor whilst the car was running but it doesn't make a difference at all .. Engine doesn't cut out and the tones don't change !
Had the car put on diagnostics which showed a few faults , the faults were cleared , took the car for a short run and the problem was still there , returned back put the car back on the machine but no faults showed up !
Was advised to put supreme diesel in and try run through but so far no difference .
Cleaned out the MAP sensor this morning and when replaced the engine seems to be throwing out white / grey smoke ?

If you unplugged the MAF and there was no change then that is probably your first problem.
Not sure what the white smoke is though. It is usually associated with coolant which could indicate a failed head gasket however sometimes turbochargers smoke when they have gone.
If you have VCDS or VAGCOM which is the program used to monitor VAG cars then try and log the boost to see if you are creating enough.
What were the codes you had?
