Cardiff RS Porsche & Body Shop for 944 Rusty Sill Repair.
Discussion
Been using RS Porsche for years, good people and always do a top job. My 993 is having the front bumper resprayed at Gimber in Penarth which was recommended by Dave at RS. I haven't had the car back yet but have seen their work shop and looks impressive, got a good reputation for restoration work on E-Type Jags.

Ask around the local region members of either Tipec or PCGB, or even just friends; often there are local bodywork guys who are more specialists in restoring cars than invoicing Porsche owners, if you get my point!
My recent 944 sill repairs are well-documented on the PCGB forums. I believe the Tipec guy had a worse than usual experience so don't necessarily expect the sills to be completely shot.
Did you take pictures of the inside? Whilst it's not possible to be give an accurate estimate until the outer sills are cut away, you get a pretty good idea from the pictures. My NS sill didn't get more than a patch to the outer, as it wasn't at all bad under the peeling stone chip paint.
I'd always look for a classic car specialist for bodywork myself, rather than a Porsche specialist. The same as with servicing; the indies are tending to go for the newer cars where there is lots of money, or the really old classic 911s where the owners have even more money. The front-engined Porsches are very simple cars and any really good bodywork guy can easily work on them without fleecing you.

Chris Denning is a first class guy and does excellent work.
Depending on where you're based these people are also very good and the place I go to most times: http://www.d9autotechporsche.co.uk/
