A couple more DBS questions!

Has anyone had any issues with the ceramic brakes? Servicing the DB9 was pricey but to be expected, however I’m told the ceramic brakes are £20k to replace. Has anyone had any problems with these?

Slightly sillier question.. When in “sport mode” the sound is quite impressive, is this further enhanced by removing Fuse 22 if indeed the DBS has a fuse22? OR does the sport mode simply leave the valve open anyway?

I'll let those with better experience advise on ceramics - my understanding is that unless you are unlucky with warping or cracking it's only pads that need replacing, at a cost not that much more than on any other Aston

re sport, this opens up the exhaust valves lower down the rev range but still keeps them closed at the lower revs so quieter for cruising. Removing the fuse keeps the valves open all the time

I have had no issues with the Ceramics. I have had new pads @ £666.00 with a bit of discount applied after 11,000 miles but I believe that there are plenty of 20,000 milers that are on their first set of pads. I believe these people are often called Miss Daisy

I had the valves fixed open on mine. Permanently sounded awesome.

I removed fuse 22, ran the car for a little while, then reinstalled the fuse.

Found the drone annoying at highway speeds.

OP i had concerns about the ceramics , neednt have worried so far ive run 18 mnths ownership without any issues.

Ditch Fuse 22 and use the sport button - sharpens throttle response and is nicer to drive in my opinion
