hi guys, with the engine out the car - is the sump pan strong enought to take the weight of the engine? or will it just crumple?

It will to a degree but be careful. Its ok to use a block of wood to spread the weight and support enough for replacing engine mounts for example but no further than that.

Oh i fired in there far too quick... rolleyes
Yes the sump will be fine to 'sit' on. Just dont drop it or add more weight be standing on it biggrin

lol, at the moment i have the engine sitting on strategically placed pieces of wood to avoid actually putting weight on the sump itself - till i established if its strong enough! lol
