Anyone on here planning on going to this? Looks like they're copying the format of the popular Goodwood Breakfast club - differernt theme each month etc.

I'm going to pop along and see what it's like.

I saw this advertised in the Salisbury Journal last week so I'm going to pop along to see what it is like. As long as its not pouring down with rain!

Ooh, might go along to this. And they want TVRs in the show. Reasonably priced food too.

What time does it start? When should we be there?

Edit: it looks like it starts at 8 and finishes at 10:30. Probably not worth trekking out rom all the way down here that early for 2 hours.

It's only the same as the Goodwood Breakfast, I doubt it'll be a strict 10:30 finish time and it's a fair bit closer for a few of us.

I hope they make a success out of it; it would be good to have another regular even in the area.

Fair enough, but it's my birthday today and I'm having a party on Saturday with people staying over, so I doubt I'll make it early Sunday morning!!

Saw this on: http://www.wiltonhouse.com/page63.html

Wilton Wake Up is organised by the same team which runs the Wilton Classic and Supercar Event and gives car enthusiasts the opportunity to display their own wheels, look at other cars and talk to fellow petrolheads. The event will be held on the fourth Sunday of every month, starting on Sunday 24th March 2013. Gates open at 8am when bacon butties, hot tea and coffee, and a Full English breakfast will be available to buy in the Restaurant. Proceedings will finish by 10.30am.

To add interest, each month’s gathering will have a theme as follows:

24th March – Iconic Performance Cars

28th April – Rising Sun Asian Masters

26th May – Supercars

23rd June – Tax Free Heaven Pre ‘73

28th July – Wind In Your Hair

25th August – Continent Crushing GT Cars

22nd September – Tank Tops and Shoulder Pads 70s and 80s (prize for best dressed)

I might pop along to this providing;

1)The weather holds up
2)I manage to drag myself out of bed on time
3)I don't get distracted on the way

Would be nice to meet up with a few PH'ers if there's enough going.

I may get the Cosworth out and go if the weather is fine and the roads are dry.

Whats the parking situation there? I've never been but seen photos of the supercar day and parking only seems go be on the grass. Will this be the case on Sunday?

Just to answer a few questions,

The event is FREE...we just love any excuse to host a great gathering of petrolheads!

The parking is on tarmac and gravel around the North entrance to the house where the supercars arrive for the main show in August, not in the fields. (A30 in Wilton)

The show is open for at these times for two reasons-

a- The house and grounds opens to the public at 11am so we are trying not to overlap with the coach parties!

b- The roads are nice and empty at that time so making your journey here more 'efficient'!

We look forward to seeing you soon!!!
