Hi All

If anyone can help

Im in a public sector FE job and they have put us under notice of redundancy. My job has been removed from the structure. There is a job that I can do standing on my head (as I have 30 odd years in the construction industry)and am professionaly qualified in my field but they require a Chartered professional qualification in the surveying field.

How much will experiance count (if at all)

Can I ask if I retrain to get said chareership will this suffice

Or just leave with dignity

Many thanks in advance RVT

You are not really going to get the answers without speaking to your employer. You can ask for additional training, it's no skin off your nose. A move to another role may be seen as a redeployment and an element of retrainig is expected here. The crux of the situation though is whether the employer wants you in this other role.
