997 S Manual. Fab car.

320d M Sport (co car)

Cayman S. Great car. Not far off the 997 in real world, better on track.

RX8. Great car,ruined by fuel economy. On the plus side the economy was pants regardless of how hard you drove it!

3.0 Manual

450 Chim (My wifes daily)

5.0 M5

350 SLK Auto. Another car far better than it gets credit for

320 SLK Manual. As above

323i. Silly low mileage (30k in 12 years by one and only previous owner)

111S

M6. Awesome bar SMG

2.8 Z3. Again, a better car than it gets credited for

130i Manual.

A3 TDI 170 S-Tronic


Current Fleet:

Cayenne TDI. 35+ average so far and an interior to die for.

5.0, only 37k on the clock.

640d M Sport. All the performance you need, and 39mpg so far in 12k.

Thanks. I didnt have the bottle to keep the P38 past a year or so. I actually sold it for a small profit (man maths; make that break even after a few repairs), which I felt was better than most. "Quit whilst you are ahead". The Cayenne has the lofty driving position, without the constant fear of a bill (as it should for 10 times the price!).

Thanks. He is about to be treated to some later Cerbera style seats I have just sourced once they have been re-trimmed.

It has only covered 37,000 miles and is the 5.0.

Yup, really happy with it, although you'd have been bonkers to buy one - I did a personal lease when they were being subsidised by BMW.

One thing is broken : 155mph limiter

MPG in 13,000 miles without trying : 39. Amazing for a car with over 300hp and 650nm of torque.

It currently has winter boots on smaller(!) 19's. He'll be going back to the 20's soon.

Thanks. Still a few boxes to tick - too many cars, not enough time!

The new 6 is IMHO a vast improvement in looks on the old car. The range and economy are the icing on the cake. List was nigh on 70k, but low mileage 12-18 month old cars are down into the mid 40's now...

Twas an extra-light model created and sold at auction at the Lotus anniversary.

Reverie Carbon seats, no bulkhead or sound proofing behind seats, no radio, carbon side blades and bits on bonnet, forged alloys and cereal box sized battery.

Where to start?! Awesome collection of cars, a lot of those on my 'realistic' dream list. E39 M5 being at the top.

Love the current fleet too, 640d is a cracking car, and as for the Cayenne, the interior as you said is superb, was admiring one the other day. It's hard to say why but it is just such a fantastic place to be inside.

Strange question perhaps, but how did the 130i compare to the E39 M5?
