Anyone have any sound files of a TVR engine starting up/running?

Need to hear a real engine now. I can't wait to get back to London to start shopping for the Tuscan.

Have got a few MP3 files of my cerb 4.5 starting up and accelerating away - before I got the decat done, though. I will email some over to you now.

Anthony, just realised I can't send attachments via Pistonheads - send me an email so I can get your direct address and I'll send them over.

Check out the TVRwedgepages.co.uk downloads section. They got some lovely sounds of a SEAC at playtime!

Hows about a few recordists at Duxford Mania?

I've got a MD recorder and a decent mike, so I can record at CD quality. I intended to have a go at Back Home; carried the gear around with me all day. Unfortunately the weather dampened my enthusiasm.

One possiblilty is to record using fixed recording levels and the same distance from each TVR - then it would be possible to use the sounds to compare TVRs.

Maybe create an online sound library ? For example a Griff 4.3 pre cat, Griff 5.0 standard, Griff 5.0 wadding removed, Griff 5.0 wadding and cats removed, Griff with sports exhaust; etc. etc.

If there is, then I'll be going in the campsite gate and parking up for the weekend.

Wouldn't have thought so... B17's are pretty loud. I Doubt the locals would tell the difference
