Make mine a Mulliner bodied Continental S1. The other, a early to mid nineties Continental R. Two very proper hand crafted motor cars.

I used to care, but then I remind myself that real Bentleys finished in 1931. Everything since was just badge engineering, and now it's not even that, just branding.

I know what you're saying, but don't entirely agree. Whilst the R, S and T saloons and the Mulsanne were hopped up Rolls Royces, it would be a hard soul who thought an S1 Continental wasn't a real Bentley.
For me the and was when the car park at Crewe was full of VAG toss. As you say though, it's no longer a marque, but a brand.
