Do the leads on the injectors have to be plugged in, in the right position, or could they be plugged in, in any position??
Thanks for any help

They "fire" in sets of three, left and right banks so should be ok if you don't cross sides

very good gadge
The loom runs down one side of the engine and the wires come out of the loom in twos, so i have 1-2, 3-4,
5-6. So i am basically guessing which one goes to which, as in 1-2 could be 2-1!!
I suppose it is just trial and error.
oh well

Wire up an LED and resistor across one from each pair and then crank the engine. If they all flash together then you have one bank. Which bank is a different question but if the engine runs horrible or not at all it's a safe bet you got it wrong!

I would have thought the engine would run okay if only one pair of cylinders is off and you won't be able to tell which cylinders are wrong.

Are you sorted ?

On mine 1 & 4 come out of the plastic sleeving stuff together but then 2 comes out about an inch in front of 5 then 2 & 6 together ( 1 2 & 3 being alternator side), if that helps at all?

3 still has a little numbered (paper?) tag on it, all others gone.

If the three wires to each "set" join up before the multi-plug that lies near injector 2 it should be easy enough to meter them into their sets?
