I am due to take the Tuscan 2 over to Europe and would like to know how to convert the headlights for the journey.

Cheers

If it's the same as for the Mk. 1, you can access the projector units from within the bonnet.

Undo the three screws at the back of the unit, and bolt it back in after giving it a slight twist.

That being said, I did it years ago on a Mk. 1, so memory might be fading, and it may be different on a 2...

So I guess no stick on light deflectors are available, don't fancy messing with the current set up of the lights as it will potentially cause issues at MOT time. Does it matter if they are also Xeon lights?

I drive up to the garage door in the evening/twilight, and use some black insulation tape to 'cut' the 45 degree 'upswing' and bias/throw to the nearside.

Job done - for not too much grief. Also very easy to revert on return to 'Blighty'.

Nick,

Thanks for that, sounds like a good idea, does the driveway have to be level?

Mike.

As above.

Alternatively Halfrauds. Although 2000% overpriced (£10!), the stickers come with instructions. Wouldn't bother with adjusting the lights manually twice (departure/ return).

Standing outside and looking at the car:

No. Only if candle lights used.

Guess it helps if the car is level.
Having said that - you are actually working with the light pattern as 'thrown' onto the garage door, so provided you 'cut' the throw to the left/nearside, you have done all you need to in order to stop dazzling oncoming cars when driving on the right.

No it doesn't matter, it's the projector in front that you twist around... Granted, it's a bit more work than fiddling around with stickers, but you get the proper lighting image, pointing to the right, instead of a flattened left-pointing beam.

Why would it cause issues for MOT, if you switch it back afterwards?
