Yacht engineering reference books

Can anyone recommend me some good books for yacht engineering. I'm thinking from a practical spannering and electrical point of view for a sailing yacht with 12 crew.

12 crew and no one has experience of engineering? I'd worry. Will the boat be used in a commercial role? Look into it a bit more if I was you.

as above, I would be worried if no one on my boat had any mechanical knowledge I worried but then again my boat is a knackered old heap that would sink if we went constantly fixing it,with,bondo, gaffa tape and cable ties!!

^^^ Wot Benjaminpalma said. It's the Bible. But it is USA bias regarding electrical. Any of Nigel Calder's books are worth owning, Marine Diesel Engines being another one of my favorites.
Don Casey has also written some good books, albeit very basic, which isn't a bad thing if you're starting out.
