Help, can someone recomend an insurance company

Hi.
This is my first post to PistonHeads.
My partner has a Chimp that she has owned for 11 months.
The TVR dealership in Harrogate recomended "ClassicLine" as an insurance company, whom she has used for the past 11 months.

Following her annual renewal letter and to my partners request, I phonned them to get a quote to put myself on the policy. The snotty lady at the end of the phone asked me what I had been driving for the past year (i humbly replied, "my Ford Escort"!!) to this the lady said I could not be put on the policy because of insufficient experience!

I have 10 years driving experience with one no fault claim.

Could one of the TVR members here please suggest an insurer that is suited to the TVR driver?

I also explained that my girlfriend prior to owing the TVR Chim had been driving her Rover 214, and had no high performance experience. I was told that this was wrong and should have not have been allowed. When I said that I had been driving the TVR for the past 6 months as a occasional driver (utilising my 3rd party extension from my fully-comp policy) she said I could still not be put on the policy.

Please help, anyone, that can recomend a suitable insurance company.

From my own personal experience, phoning anyone other than Sunninghill is a waste of time. They have a TVR owners page, so click on that and away you go. Or call them on 0870 7878022 and ask to speak Andy Mc.

My nearest other like-for-like quote was 40% more. PLUS they will give you the same no claims as your first car policy. PLUS you get track day cover too.... Sorted!

Ended up going with Privilege 590 quid for a 34yr old female putting me 30yr male as additional driver on policy (with 3 points on license).
