Hello, my recent MOT was completed with the following advisory info.

Nearside front lower Suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush
Offside front lower Suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush
Nearside front Anti-roll bar has slight play in a pin/bush
Offside front Anti-roll bar has slight play in a pin/bush

Is this impending doom and a hefty bill?
Any advice appreciated, thanks

It all depends on how much you can sort out yourself.
The ARB bushes are certainly doable with a bit of time. I did all four on mine in a morning with no major issues. Bushes were £50 or so.

Front lowers are around £180 per side plus some for the bolts as they are often cut off due to corrosion, my local indie charged 4 hours to fit them.

It is worth using penetrating oil on all the nuts and bolts for a while beforehand as they can be a bit tight.

You can check on the two main D3 owners sites (Disco3Club and Disco3) for more specifics.

Thanks very much, very helpful.

Unfortunately I'm rather hands-off when it comes to sorting the cars. I'd love to be able to roll up my sleeves, I used to work on my Minis in my teens, but work commitments and family life over 20 years have left me mechanically impotent.

Would this sort of thing be covered by a Land Rover warranty?

Thanks again

Those parts are simply wear and tear, known wear items and a good indy will be able to give you a proper quote for changing it all.

Possibly £600 or so for new parts and labour.

Warranty Direct covered my front lower arms.
And my compressor.
And a door latch.

Ask them. The worst they can say is 'No' but they might say 'Yes'woohoo

Doubtfull, plus their solution is to replace the wishbones complete with bushes, rather than just the bushes alone, so it's big bills. My local indie did my front bushes last year for not too much. This is, FWIW, a known issue with Disco 3's and RRS's.
