750MC Donington 22-23 March - weather ?
Discussion
Hi chaps
Is there anyone in the Donington area that can give me a real weather check on Thursday night ?
Supposed to be testing on the Friday and looking at the forecast there's a real chance of a fairly heavy snow on Friday. No point in travelling up from London only to be faced with a Cresta run through Craners !

I'm about 8 miles away as the crow flies and it's quite a pleasant, dry day so far.
BUT, every forecast I have seen shows either heavy rain or snow for tomorrow with zero or sub-zero temps. Saturday looks similar although not as heavy.
BUT (2) That was also forecast today (see below) and no sign of it as yet.

Thanks Max !
Forecast is looking pretty bad for tomorrow and Saturday - I suspect both days will be cancelled. Even if it stops snowing, Donington doesn't have any snow clearing equipment nor does it use any chemicals on the track (pro's and con's)
I'm going to delay leaving until 8am tomorrow and check with the circuit but I'd appreciate any updates later this evening

You've also got live timing of the BTCC media day here http://www.tsl-timing.com/LiveTiming.aspx?id=TOCA
Which you can keep an eye on for track conditions, reporting Dry at present.
I'm about ten miles away (south) and we have rain at the moment, some snow has fallen already but not much. The forecast does say to expect heavy snow across the whole area, and did seem to think it would happen overnight too, so it looks like you'll be off, I'm afraid.
I'll pop back in the morning when I've seen how it looks!
