Trying to install SQL2000 on Windows 2003 Server small business edition - it says that it has to be >SP2 version of SQL. I have the SP3 disc, but I need to install the original disc first.

Any ideas how to get it going???

Find your original SQL2000 install CD.
Install it (ignore the message that tells you it can't be done)
When finished, install SQL 2000 SP3.

OK, did that, but it would only install the client tools not the database engine. Any ideas how I get that on???

Cheers...

I did this the other day, but it installed everything.

Perhaps you should uninstall the lot, then reinstall using custom options. Finally, apply SP3.

You sure you selected the right options?

Its not a "client tools only"-type disc, is it? No idea if MS actually supply one, though; just guessing.
