Does anybody have a sheet with the full set of basic settings for a TC car please? Assuming there is such a thing of course.

I'd ask mat what he set it up as.. although he might talk you into putting it on his spangly new 4 wheel laser alignment gear to check lol

Doubt anybody will tell you what settings to use. Best getting it set up by somebody who knows what they are doing like I thought you was going to do.....

Yep, I've had a chat with Mat and got a list of the settings he had on there, but I think Martin's set up might be a wee bit too aggressive for me to be starting off on. The Ohlins have been sent away for service/revalve now too, so we're gonna start testing from really basic settings on everything and work from there.

They are M.Caine's as run by Topcats just softened off a bit for a beginner like me!
What shocks are you running?
How long before you think you can do some testing?

That would be really helpful Christian, thanks.
Fairly standard looking Ohlins 2 way adjustable, remote res, inverted on the front.
Engine mid rebuild - should be ready by Easter weekend. Box and diff at JR's right now for a change in drop gear and diff ratio back up (or is it down?) to 3:7 from the 3:4 (Martin was still running the Dave Jones hillclimb set up). They should be back next week. Fuel cell, pump etc, all repositioned to less vulnerable areas - done. A bit of body tidy up and new paint, then put everything back together again. Oh, harness and firex out of date too. Handover sometime between the 5th and 12th of April is our best guess. Not a lot of time for testing really I know. Looks like I'll be doing most of my testing on racedays yikes Let that be fair warning to you all! Seriously though, I will try and get out at every available opportunity between collection and Silly wavey

Indeed I am Dave. I just need the "out of the box" settings to start with, for when I pick the car up. Andy may well have some. I'll check with him.

Don't worry Mark, I'll be in much the same boat as you - I don't expect completion until early-mid April at the moment - and I'm coming from a box of parts rather than a recently run car so lots of potential for things not working as they should!

Probably best to run the car on the softer side while you're getting used to it - i ran my purple car for years like this and only recently begun to stiffen up...

No sniggering at the back please biggrin

Ooops! Just been advised that these are far from standard Ohlins. They've just been serviced by the guy who originally bespoke built them, with development help from Ian Flux! Wow, wish I could do them justice! Nice to know though, innit Perry wink
