While I'm sitting at home with tonsillitis bored stupid, I've been catching up with what TiVo has recorded for me over the last few months.

Anyway, I've discovered I've still got the Top Dogs programme which featured Mike Smith's V8S. So, after transferring it over to my Mac I've a 500Mb MPEG2 file for the 2nd part only. Converted to XVid that's around 100Mb.

Anyone interested in me making it available for download - either directly or as a bittorrent link? If 100mb is to big I could reduce video size/quality etc.

Ah yes, so it is - but only in Windows Media format which I can't play. I'll hold fire then unless anyone wants it in a standard format

Why can't you play Windows Media, old chap? Er, doesn't this ship with every copy of XP?

If you're on Mac (we use Macs at work - I used Media Player to watch the Olympics!), you can download the Mac version from Microsoft's site... ?

I am indeed using a Mac. My home is completely Windows free (except the glass kind where I can gaze out a watch people drive into my car).

Although both Mplayer and VLC say they do WMF, they either give me sounds only, or really blocky picture.

Also, my Neuston player (great bit of kit - get one!), doesn't do WMF but almost everything else. It lets me stream video to my Home Cinema - TVRs on an 8 foot screen

Mike

I hate to say it but even in its present highly finished condition, the numpties that voted for the Porker would still have been biased un-educated twonks. They would not know a decent car if it ran over them.
