Is it permissable to run cable /chassis ports in the uprights of the safety / tag structure of a Front engine dragster chassis ?

Phil what's the wires for? Down track location device, tree reading device, connections to cross over delay box and launch controllers? Yah cant Hide them.

I already have all the above in one device, aka my right foot

Got an awkward route for a shifter cable, be easier to weld a 13mm tube through the upright.

The regs state that any holes in the tubes for holes / wires etc must be reinforced. So, I think with the tube welded into the Upright, and then a reinforcing plate welded around the hole made by the small tube, that should be OK
