Fitted Decat Y Piece : )

As per the topic.
We fitted the decat piece this evening. It was an ACT one.
The original did put up a fight in coming out, but as I believe Chimp said, it was the twisting and pulling that got it out.
Annoyingly as they also said, the ACT one didnt quite fit perfectly - about a 5mm gap between manifolds. But we did manage to get it together with clamps tight. There was a very small leak from the side with gap. Will get this sorted pronto.
Putting the bonnet back on was a pain. We didnt touch the alignment, but just took off the bracket (2 allen key bolts each side) and yet it was way out when replacing.
As for noise, were not able to take it for a run due to his persistent s@@t weather. But it definitely sounded a lot different. I wouldnt say louder, but a much nicer sound.
Cant wait to get it out for a run soon!

Yes yes alright no need to rub it in haha. I did see the video on youtube and couldnt beleive the precision of Clives y piece. But the ACT wasnt far off. It'll be all sorted. Was amazed at how much thinner and lighter it was. Probably saved a few kilos haha. But yes desperate to get out for a run. We live in the wrong country.SILICONEKID350HP said:
