£10k seems awfully inexpensive for a 3.2 1989 !!
Are you sure it's kosher ?

Is it RHD ?
Is it on Vcar register ?

If it is RHD and not on Vcar then it seems dirt cheap, these are now retailing at £15k+

Can I make a prediction?

If you buy this car you it will cost you a mint, you and will sell it at a humoungous loss when you finally give up on it as the expense gets out of hand.

I base this on how this transaction reminds me of one I made in my youth.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole if I were you.

Go and see several before you decide...

Jeez that is cheap IMHO - are you sure it's not 945,000 miles - prise out the speedo (it's only an interference fit) and see whether someone's been nibbling away at the bezel with a screwdriver (and also check that the purple triangle stamped on the back has "88" or "89" inside it - anything different or no triangle and someone's replaced the speedo.

Take the car to a known specialist and get them to give it a once over - then bite the guy's hand off if all seems well.

Are you using a French keyboard, by the way?

I believe the "Innit" are a long lost tribe of Alaskan indians washed up on the shores of eastern Engand when tectonic movement caused a chunk of Alaska to break off and swirl around the currents of the world until it came to rest on our eastern seaboard. The name "Essex" is derived from this tribe's pronunciation of Alaska; when asked by the natives who they were and where they came from i.e "Alaska Innuit" was misheard as "Essex innit"

However, no-one has been able to explain the fondness of this misplaced tribe for bling, white stilletos and peroxide as none of these are readily found in Alaska.
