Turbo charged Essex 3000 or beter options?
Discussion
With respect 2500 Euros will not buy you a modern turbo upgrade, just sorting out the exhaust will swallow most of that!
If you have a good reconditioned engine and assuming that your suspension/brakes are in good order (recent bushes, good springs/shock absorbers, etc), then I would suggest upping the power a little (Steel Timing Wheel, New Dizzy Drive, Big Valve Heads, Different Air Filter, decent rolling road setup) and spend the rest on driving training, then you can make best use of your cars state of tune. There is no point on going mad with tuning bits, as to get real power from an Essex, you will need a bunch of bananas exhaust system, and uprated, higher compression pistons, fancy fuel pumps, etc and then you need to think about the brakes, suspension, the list goes on.
