a few little mods this week

Here is a close up of the wing. didnt take a close up before as there are a couple runs in the lacquer

the lacquer wouldnt lay properly so i had to flood it out with loads of lacquer as i only purchased a small amount, which is two pack so once mixed doesn't last long. i'll give it a week or so then flat and polish until a mirror finish. Hopefully i wont polish through when trying to lose the runs. but if this happens i'll just have to re lacquer, which is no hassle at least i now know its worth it as the wing has come out so well.

Might need you to explain how u did the wing. Mine is already carbon but all the lacquer has come off the top.
Bondy, simple enough to do, just sand down and re spray. use a course paper to start working up to 800 or 1500 so to eradicate any scratches then re lacquer. paint finish doesnt need to be perfect as later you can flat it down with the 1500 grit paper until smooth, then polish up to a full shine. easy! and fun if you like a bit of spraying! If you want to do it yourself just buy a rattle can of lacquer it will be fine.

Matt did mine for me last year, Simon, and it looks amazing. So shiny now and before it was horribly cloudy!
He is a talented chap. But then we all know that.
Mine was painted by previous owner Lawrence because it went cloudy, shame he didn't just re laquer it but it still looks nice painted with tux's carbon wing ends.He is a talented chap. But then we all know that.

Next time you are at JS, see if Matt will take it back to carbon. Wait until you see how shiny mine is. Car is being detailed this weekend too....not shiny enough for summer. I mean endless winter!
