Much that I respected Suzi Perry's accomplished presenting skills while she was on The Gadget Show and when she covered Moto GP, I can't help thinking she is struggling a bit with F1 and that the gorgeous Lee McKenzie (who knows the F1 scene inside out) would have been a better choice.

I know its early days yet, but Suzi just doesn't seem quite up to speed.

I quite like perry but it did look like she was struggling talking to DC at the OZ GP, Lee Mc would have been better I think, I recall she did well for that one where Jake wasn't there.

I'd say everyone deserves a chance, maybe 4 races and see how it goes...

Apparently Lee was offered the job, maybe not formally, I don't know the details, but turned it down as she prefers to be in the pits and with the drivers than poncing about on the tv.

LM would have been better, but Perry is slowly improving.

The BBC should have got the blonde one from Gadget Show to do the job,
as much more pleasant to look at than Perry, and it would not then matter if she knew nothing about F1.

Really? Nobody complained about what Jake wore, as far as I can remember. I think it's difficult to judge until she's done a live show.

What's the point of judging , none of us can do fk all about it?

She was making DC look pretty uncomfortable today.

I thought she did a good job today. Certainly building a good dynamic with Squarejaw and asked the right questions.

Yes, quite impressed with Suzi today. She had quadrilateral-head looking a bit indignant during the post race analysis.

DC was seriously partisan today, Suzi made him look an idiot.

Not sure if that will build a good long term dynamic, but at least now DC knows he cant get away with being so Pro RB Management with her anchoring.

Lee should have got the job in the first place.

SP only got the job because of men having a mid-life crisis keep associating her with leather biker gear for some reason. An image she does nothing to play down.

My Yorkshire terrier knows as much about F1 as she did before the season started.

Jake was st at the start too. It took him a year before he felt comfortable and he knew fk all bout F1 when he started. Give her a chance.

But Lee already knows here stuff AND she is respected among the F1 circus. She does'nt need to "learn" and we would not have to endure watching her do it either. This is not the place for on the job training.

99% of the F1 circus have'nt a clue who SP is. The BBC should be using people to place the BBC where it deserves to be - in the heart of the action, asking the tough questions and doing what the BBC does best. Placing a show pony like SP at the back of the garages where she does'nt talk to anyone is'nt cutting it IMO.

Sky must be pleased.

+1

she really did ask some great questions of DC. you don't often see/hear a change in his tone:body language but he wasn't comfortable.

I think she has done a great job so far.
