Won this on Ebay 2 weeks ago today,Unseen, 1997 Rover 216 Coupe se, VVC half leather interior, Uprated Head Gasket, Recent Gearbox and clutch, New parts inc, Downpipe, Brake hoses and various other bits. Short M.O.T. till end May but only advisories were corrosion of front Coil Springs and the car has travelled less than 4kmiles since.Been sorn'd since Nov so needed Tax but it's a good un.
The previous owner had it 4 years, maintained it well. Only (issues) afaik are slight rust starting on front wings, a bubble at bottom of drivers door and same at front 0/s sill. Rest is solid and has been undersealed recently so chassis and floor all good.

Stole it for £350.00

All Comments welcome and appreciated, well nearlt all wink

Very nice. Been hunting for exactly this for a while, for a friend, but seems good ones are very rare.

If it's the VVC then it's actually a 218 </rover nerd>

Nice though, these are getting rare in un-Barried form.

Indeed you would be correct sir except can I respectfully point out though that I actually wrote," VVC half leather interior"
it's not original to the car, last owner changed it as he said the original all cloth seats were bit tatty and he got the VVC interior for a steal. Cheers for the post though. smile

Ah righto, couldn't tell from the pic of the engine whether it had the VVC bit on it. Nice car anyway though. It'll be nice to drive with the roof out during this lovely spring weather we're having... smile

Yeah, this time last year was sunny and warm. Noticed a slight blow on centre section today so I'll sort that out plus I did an oil change/filter and new air filter. It's had new plugs and leads recently so they're good for a bit. Exhaust aside I'm gonna just put fuel in and use it, at least till Mot time any-how.
