The BBC insists on revealing F1 result

For the second week running my enjoyment of the GP has been ruined by their insistence in revealing the result of the GP prior to their broadcasting of the extended highlights.
I've just gone on to the BBC homepage simply to find out when the program is being shown and on their homepage is the result shown quite large.
Last week I turned on the car radio (to play a CD) when the announcer instantly blurted out the result.
I'm trying to get my head around the thinking that goes on behind this - the organisation is broadcasting a (2hr?) program of a sporting occasion yet at every opportunity beforehand it will publish or broadcast the result.
If the event of such importance that it has to be displayed quite largely on the home page, why are they not showing the event live? I mean, I would have thought there were far more important things going on in the world, but if not, then it shows that F1 is an important occasion and thus should be shown live.
I must try to remember - when a GP is on I must avoid all BBC content for the entire weekend (indeed possibly all broadcast content) and use only recorded material.

Hasn't that always been the way if you've recorded a race/game/whatever to watch it later. Worse than that is watching it later with someone who knows the result. "this bit is good" etc 
News website in delivering the news shocker.
Anyway, for future reference, bookmark this page. It is the schedule without any news. OR you could look for the time before the race has been run.

Yes, of course you expect to see news if you log on to a news site - but you don't expect to see unhidden spoilers for sports events which that news site's parent corporation hasn't yet broadcast. The BBC know damn well that, given that they're only showing the recorded highlights for this race, there are millions of people who don't want to know the result yet and are waiting for the 2.00pm broadcast - so it shouldn't take too much imagination for the person who produces their website homepage to do something like a heading - say "Sepang F1 Results" - that you have to click on to see the results, instead of having them right there where you can't avoid seeing them.Not sure whether a shake of the head or a slow hand-clap is more appropriate here,

You think a news site should hold back news because they haven't shown it on their TV channel yet? The highlights, interviews, etc, are already up on the F1 page, the race is done and dusted, and so on. If you don't want the result, either find out the TV schedule before the race is run, or just look at the schedule, not the news or f1 page page.
it's a sport news website. it's job is to report sports results once they have happened.
if they didnt have a result as a headline announcement, people would soon go to other sites to find out the news.
any real fan would know the time ofthe race or just look on their TV guide to find it. no need to go onto the web.

The problem here is BBC discrimination against F1 fans. In news broadcasts before Match of the Day the BBC routinely warns fans that the results of matches played earlier that day that will be on MoTD are just about to be given.
Why can the same courtesy not be shown to F1 fans?
I have got used to NOT listening to news bulletins on BBC Radio 4 on Sundays before the highlights programmes are shown. It's an inconvenience ... but I still want to listen to Radio 4 programmes on a Sunday morning. It would be nice if news announcers could preface their remarks by saying something like .... "and at the Malaysian Grand Prix earlier today" ..... rather than opening with the two words "Sebastien Vettel". At least I'd have time to put my fingers in my ears .... but hey ..... I've learned that such small accommodations aren't likely to happen ... so I had resolved to turn off the radio when news bulletins come on.
What made me incandescent with rage today was when the BBC announcer (not the news reader ... but THE ANNOUNCER!) ..... at the end of The Food Programme .... three minutes BEFORE the news was scheduled ..... for some obscure reason chose to blurt out the result of the race.
We seem to have a situation where the BBC are determined to undermine their audience figures as much as is humanly possible. Firstly by making sure that no non SKY subscribers will listen to any BBC radio or watch any BBC TV programmes on Sundays before F1 highlights are shown .... and as a back stop just in case ..... if anyone does listen and hear the result ... this should nicely reduce the viewing audience for the actual programme.
Utter madness.
No one is asking for a news blackout .... just some sensitivity and courtesy in the way that the news is delivered.
