Some of you may have noticed the recent campaign by KFC to get feedback about what to do with their fries as they have been getting lots of Facebook feedback saying they are crap. I popped into my local today to be confronted with a sign saying "new crispier fries" has anyone tried them? I wasnt very impressed. The bag I got were cooked to a crisp and full of tiny bits

just what is chicken salt? do they powder chicken, then add salt then put it on chips? cause i dont know I would like powdered chicken, as I try and stay away from skin on any animal cause its just eww, apart from real quality pork crackling.....

The biggest problem with the old fries for me was that often they would be cold and a bit soggy as they cooked far too many at once and they ended up hanging around under the heat lamps. McDonalds always appear to have a faster turnover of fries.KFC needed to address the quality of their fries. However, it wasn't so much the cut I had an issue with, it was the fact that they were often a bit soggy. No doubt not helped by being dumped in a box with some steaming hot chicken prior to consumption! More time in the fryer was what they needed. Mind you, they go down well with some salt and some gravy!
Burger King fries still rule for me, because they are so consistent. Sometimes McDonalds fries are unseasoned, which is a pain when you're at work without a salt shaker. Sometimes they are too soggy, or too dry. BK always get it just right, and their burgers win out too.
Going to the Metro Centre tomorrow for a haircut. Lunch at BK or KFC? Hmm...

I don't mind KFC fries, though I'd be interested to see how they have changed them. If I'm getting a KFC I get one of the massive meals for £18 and tonk it home to eat it while it's still fairly hot, which can be done in winter too if I keep the heaters on in the car so it doesn't get icicle cold inside. By the time I get home, the fries are inevitably already a bit soggy - though they are soggy when they are just served in the restaurant tbh, but I don't mind too much. They'd be soggy anyway, once I'm done dunking them in the beans.
I find Zinger Tower burger unbeatable though - fries will always come second to the main event so I can forgive them that.
Went to Maccy Ds for the first time in years. I had a Big Tasty... I can think of at least two things wrong with that name. Their burgers are as difficult to swallow as their sickeningly sentimental adverts.
I think it's much better than before. Before the fries use to be kinda chunky and it would never last me the whole meal as you hardly got any in the regular size but with the new cut, you get enough to last you the meal and some left over at the end. That is, if you consume your fries and chicken ratio evenly
