Freelander 2 "lockdown mode"
Discussion
An elderly friend has a Freelander 2, and when it's been left for 3 weeks untouched goes into what he calls "lockdown mode."
The fob stops working and the blade must be used on the passenger side to access the vehicle.
Has anyone heard of this?
I was slightly dubious of this, but the first time it caught him out it was confirmed by Land Rover breakdown.
Just seems slightly odd and I can't find any info on google.

I'd suggest you ask the question on www.freel2.com
Personally I'd reckon the inconvenience of a bat flattery is worse than having to use the metal blade to access the vehicle.
