Dutch dealers

Hi, has anyone experience of any of the Dutch classic dealers such as e & r classics? They seem to have a good stock and I'm thinking it might be worth making a trip.

I've been to a couple of Dutch classic dealers and have found on both occasions that whilst the cars are pricey, they are all very good examples and not the tonced up snot many British dealers are punting. I doubt they would entertain some of the rubbish that gets washed up at various classic auctions.

There does seem to be an unusually high number of ex-USA cars for sale at dealers in that part of the world. I guess they buy them cheap and bring them in to Rotterdam by the container-load.

I've tried to deal with the 3rd guy in your list but got the distinct impression he had no interest in selling cars whenever I've had any contact with him.

I have however dealt with the Houtkamps (www.houtkamp.nl) and was extremely pleased with the whole experience.

The Gallery Brummen has an enormous stock of cars, but be careful as the cars are not always as good as described. An ex-colleague bought a BMW 2002 which later seemed to consist of a lot of filler. Also, they charged him a € 1.000,- just for prpearing the car before sale (although it had been advertised as in very good condition).

Houtkamp, though not cheap, has a very good reputation.

Blimey 37,500 Euros for that!!! Its nice but not at that price.

yesterday I've read that although its nice...its not as nice as it looks on those lovely pictures...
so perhaps its indeed a bit overpriced...
guess 25K will fit better then.
