Entry in! Suspect I'll find this tough, but should mean I'm well prepped for London-Edinburgh-London. Anyone else tempted? The write-up from last year makes it sound like a classic.

Route mapped, bike prepped. Starts at 6am tomorrow morning. Weather forecast / injuries may cause a few to dropout, but looks like about 30 of us will be doing this between 6am on Saturday and 10pm on Sunday.
Got ~5000km and ~58,000m of climb in my legs for the year, and BMI is back down in the 19s. I'm as ready as I could make myself given I've moved house and jobs this year. Still, first event for ages where finishing it will feel like a big deal for me.
Going to do some Nytol tonight and get to bed early, else nerves will keep me up.
Aw, shucks. Too late to enter now. How did I ever miss this? I'd have smashed it too, on a MTB with 26 x 2.1 knobblies, easy

Good luck to anyone and everyone who's signed up to this lunacy. I suppose someone's got to do it. Just glad it's not me at the moment as I'm still working to get back to some semblance of fitness, and my endurance level is certainly not up to 600km in one hit anytime soon.

Feel like someone has given me a proper beating. Delighted not have walked any of it - went up Hardknott and Wrynose with over 500km in my legs. Favourite bits were the Whinlatter Pass the Trough of Bowland. Worst was crossing Hartside into driving rain - soaked to the skin and freezing with a big descent at 3am - wasn't fun at all.

I have to say, the hardest bit of Hardknott was the drivers - they seemed to think they had priority in both directions. A Merc on Austrian plates same up behind me when I was tacking for a bend, revved, then forced its way past, only to pull in at a parking spot 20m up. As I went past and glared, they both gave me a thumbs up, like they thought I was great. Utterly bizarre. Extra no thanks to the bint in the z4 descending, who waited in the wide section on a bend for the car ahead of me, then went for it in a very committed way as I was climbing a steep section - really gave me no choices but to go far out on the edge.
I can see why motorbikes (or caterhams, etc) want to go over, but estates, MPVs, motorhomes? Seems nuts to me. Such a dramatic place, so ill suited to big cars.

Not dead - HRM and cadence sensors de-linked from the GPS. Was too befuddled to realise I just needed to power cycle the GPS.
