anyone else been caught out while trying to find out how much snow their range/land rover could plough through?

got caught in a 4ft drift yesterday. could have possibly smashed through it with a little more speed, and if the suspension compressor wasn't kaput, i might have got through in offroad height.

in my defence, the next drift which was about 100 metres up the road had beached a tractor! he was pulled free by one of his mates who then hauled me free.

Almost, this was in super extended mode and still bottoming out.
I could reverse back so that's what I did and turned around.

What I tried to get through and how deep it was, ruts were made by a tractor.

A couple of years ago I reversed our P38 wearing General ATs and was surprised when I got stuck. I hadn't banked on building my own drift which was now as high as the rear boot glass lol!

This is the deepest I've driven through, didn't get stuck and it did get deeper further down the road, but didn't stop for photo's.

Gutted, snow chains loaded in the back, and no drifts anywhere... although I dont have the centre diff lock just the ste traction control that you cant turn off (d2) which buggers up playing in the snow a little,

I could drive my kitcar over that terrain Ali. That's not trying!
winktongue out

I went back the next day and the farmer had plowed it clear, and there's not been much else to trouble the car.

Good, now get back out there and tow that tree about for a bit.
It's the only thing to do to make up for it all..
