Silverstone GP Circuit, Easter Monday (April 1st)

Last week, in a moment of madness, I booked a trackday on the Silverstone GP circuit for Easter Monday. Then it snowed, and looks like it's not going to thaw anytime soon.

I just wondered if anyone else is going to be there?

Yes me and 3 friends are booked for it!

Don't fancy the idea of freezing conditions but since its a Bank Holiday it will probably rain!

I was on the National circuit in December when there was standing water all over the place. That made things interesting. But that's still better than ice/snow.

This is my 1st time on the GP circuit, and my 1st 'open pitlane' trackday. I'll try and give way to any passing TVR's.

There are 10 Nissan GTR's attending - all 550bhp+ so hope the ice has gone!!

Yeah not all Trevors drive TVR's.

This is the first time I've been to Silverstone since they reconfigured it so will be taking my time to learn the lines.

LOL - only if it warms up a bit as our sticky tyres don't hook up quite as well when its 0 degrees!

A friend and I will be there in a BMW E46 330Ci, so there'll be a few less powerful cars on track. It may only be a few degrees above zero but there is no rain or snow forecast between now and then, so track conditions should be OK - I'm looking forward to it already!

Bit of a long shot but does anyone happen to be travelling from Aldershot and also be willing to give me a lift to this? I was intending to meet a friend there but took an opportunity today to sell my car so now have no way of getting there in time since public transport first thing on a bank holiday isnt a particularly efficient method of getting around!
