could someone please tell me how to identify the early type 18" spider alloys that buckle easily,from the later,more robust type?im advertising for a good used front and rear spider(in silver),but dont want to buy one of the earlier and thus,weaker type.cheers-mv

Why dont you buy a brand new set, they are not that dear. Or maybe get something different ive just changed mine (will have some 3 month old spiders for sale soon but they are in anthracite) If you go direct to the manufacturers they are sometimes 2/3rds cheaper than the retailers and you have more choice because the wheels are blanks and they drill them to suit your car you just have to get the off set right. I was quoted £150.00 per corner for the savage wheels on the Sagaris at the motor show, i think they retail at something like £1300.00 per set.
