doesn't seem to work .. just select pre 1940 and nothing else and you get a load of range rovers and porsches

Thanks, we'll treat that as a bug. I have a feeling that it might include anything without a date, rather than just stuff with the data value of pre-1940. It shouldn't do that, obviously.

With that very early stuff we're going to always be extremely patchy with the data I'm afraid, simply because it'll be very scant DVLA data coming back.
