Can't get too excited with the weather and salty roads, will this change before the weekend when I pick up this beast... I'm sure it will...

Very nice indeed. With any luck I'm also around 72hrs from collection. That said, it's for a much older cars than yours but a Porsche nonetheless.

Another ex Caterham owner jumping into a Spyder - I think there are a few on here!

I think you'll like it!

It's customary to drive your new Spyder with the roof off when you pick it up - no matter what the weather's doing.

Now that does look good!
I love the red, probably even more than the white.

Enjoy the excitement and I hope the weather holds out for the collection. smile

Customary?

I thought it was the actual law.

Congratulations OP, they are great cars.

You do realise by having the heavyweight cup holder option you'll NEVER be able to sell the car?
It'll hang around for sale for ever and ever...

Bought from 911 Virgin.

Spec is Spyder wheels, PSE, carbon buckets, no aircon, no cupholders (wtf!) no nonsense.

No aircon is good, you don't need it in this car!

Yeah, it's the newest Porsche, indeed the newest car I've ever owned by quite some way. Come from a trio of 928s, 964 C2 manual, Caterham etc. Very exciting.

The only negative thing that occurred to me when testing the car was the dash top is very plasticky. Can the leather be retrofitted, either by Porsche or a good trimmer?

The leather dash is nice, but you don't really notice the interior when you're driving! It would no doubt cost a fortune to get it retrofitted by Porsche, perhaps you might get lucky and find a leather interior from a breakers.

Anyway, the sun is shining here, the roads are dry, so I'm off for a blat around some nice country lanes - see you all later!

Lol no I was the first owner. Used it as a daily driver though and put the first 30k miles on it.
