I've always enjoyed good service from www.dabs.com and www.scan.co.uk - you'll find it hard to beat prices here.

I'll second Novatech

I buy a lot of stuff from them, and recently bought a barebones AMD Athlon-based machine plus a 40Gb HDD for under £150. All I needed to do was add a CD-ROM drive, monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers (all of which I have) and I had a working machine. Superb.

Novatech and aria are good, some bargains to be had at ebuyer but their customer service is not great, but to be fair I have had a refund on what I've returned but it did take a couple of weeks.

watford.co.uk again are worth looking at and I personally have had no problems with dabs but I know people who have had issues. My personnal "don't touch them" is scan who are fine when things go right but you really don't want to get involved with their customer service when it goes wrong. All IMO

Cheers

I use www.PCWB.com for cheap and cheerfuls I don't think you can beat the NECs VL4/5 at around £300 as they have next day onsite 3yr warrenty cover. I've now got about 20 odd of them and only one problem a powersupply went and sure enough next day fixed it and left.

Great machines.

My last two PC's have been from www.evesham.co.uk and they've been good quality, reliable machines.

I priced up all the parts that went into my current Evesham Dominator (only a month or so old) on www.ebuyer.co.uk and www.overclockers.co.uk and the sum of the individual parts came to £50 more than what the whole machine cost me from Evesham, set up and running, so I decided against the self build route.

They even have a few shops dotted around the place (e.g. Nottm)

I had a massive headache with a certain Bolton-based supplier. They are fantastic when all goes smoothly, vert cheap and quick but if it goes wrong they are fking worthless.

Feel free to email via my profile for details.
