splitters

Hello,

I wanted to know what the splitters would look like in carbon. I damaged one of mine on the day I got the car, I had not repainted it as i always thought it would happen again soon after.

I got them wrapped last week, I am not happy with the result as the job is not great, carbon dipping is really the only option to make them look good or have them made from carbon. They will stay on the car for a bit so I can make my mind up on them but please do not think they are the finished article. I thought some of you may be interested as I know others have thought about it.

I think they look ok in the pictures,

carbon dipping always looks cheap and nasty IMO, so if it was me I'd get them made in real carbon, it wouldn't be expensive for a simple shape like that.

I also think they look good, very hard to see the quality in the pictures. I have thought about it also as I have a slight crack on the top of one but I suspect they will look better on single colour cars rather than multi. Has anyone ever had a quote to have them made up?

Just had mine repaired and resprayed ( Cascade Indigo )
Would look stunning in gloss finish carbon, but I'll be doing my best not to damage my recently refurbished ones !!!

If there is a decent interest in these it might be something I could look at in CF. I don't really fancy buying a Sag to get a mould though

They look quite good but can , when fitted , upset the whole look of the front of the car as they almost disappear.

Last year I did the vanes in CF (only the skin) and I like it....but I think the splitter in CF would be too much.
