Steering rack grease question

I don't suppose anyone knows whether the highlighted part of the steering rack requires any grease?

It would appear to slide in a plastic sleeve, and doesn't have any on, so I am assuming not, but I am having to resist the urge to apply some (on the rack, that is)!

I put grease on my new one as the old one was quite corroded.

It will be protected by the gaiter but some grease will stop any moisture from corroding the rack.
