Yup, the estate. A bit of a sleeper, methinks. Thought it looked lovely. he does do triathlons, and the like. You'd fit a lot on kit in the back of one of those.

Yeah I see where you're coming from. I guess I generally like my cars (well most of 'em) a bit 'shouty' but I don't doubt the Merc could whip the skin off the rice pudding without touching the throttle.

I believe Button also has a black MP4/12C. One of the papers printed a pap shot of him parking it in Mayfair, or some such place.

Vettel, who apparently lives a very normal, low-profile and private life away from the track, owns a VW Caravelle bus, of all things.

I was watching an Evo vid where Harry Metcalf was looking at a special Zonda (760RS) and he said there is one specific customer version being called a 760LH - based on customer initials.

Basically a Zonda R for the road.

Basically a Zonda R for the road.

The only cars of interest in there are Webber & Button with the Porsche and Hamilton with the Zonda, all the rest are 'company' cars.

I have to say, I am a little suprised about the harcoreness...considering their jobs.

If my job was hairing round a track in a fast car, I think my day to day would be an XJ or something....wafty

Well, they are huge cars.

It looked like a selection of F1 drivers with various cars just to fill a page didn't it.
Their daily drive dictated by the team, private fun cars for weekends.
Some feel because they are racing drivers, speed will be out of their system for 'off duty' driving. Not true, they are generally nutters on the road too. Similarly, who drives home from a track day at legal speed?

Webber drives for Porsche. He was an instructor on special one-day driving courses at the Porsche Experience Centre beside Silverstone. He also uses their driver training gym. Whilst I think he’s a proper petrolhead with impeccable taste in Porsches, I recall that he bought his GT2RS while teaching there.
