bought it for a few dollars - worth many times over... (assuming it wasnt a fake autograph - but there is precedent that such autographed consoles exist)

Pretty good way to get traffic to your blog. In my experience cleaning old marker off things doesn't go quite so cleanly, either - though I'll admit that could just be difference in surfaces/markers.

I smell bullst. Not just because someone with the wherewithal to disassemble an ancient games machine and reconstruct it would probably know the machine's provenance. And also, he draws attention to it in such an obvious way, mentioning the previous owner's 'funny looking signature'. Yeah, right!
