I've been a member of this site (and a TVR Cerb owner) for a reasonable while. Whilst not posting much, I do keep an eye on what is here.
I have to say that reading members contributions to recent posts (limited production run....., TVR in safe hands.....) I'm embarrassed on behalf of >50% of the members here for their un-educated, discriminatory and quite often litigious postings.
Even the value postings (jsg's engine rebuilds) seem to quickly deteriorate into a mindless free for all.
I think most (not all) of the real TVR fans have nothing to do with this site, unfortunately leaving it to a number of morons who have nothing better to do than mock a company, a dedicated individual who has invested his own money, and a valuable UK industry they know very little about.
Good luck to the new TVR management for a sensible and measured strategy....and goodbye Pistonheads.
(Who is interested to set up a site which can add real value to TVR owners and indeed TVR?)

The take over is a massive change and would always stir emotions.
Fortunately, Pistonheads is a free site for people to air their views quite freely. Because of this, there are negative and positive views about the recent changes.
Naturally, the negative views are disected and turn out to be 'possibilities'.
Its only because of the nature of man that all sorts of suggestions are thought up. Its only because of Pistonheads that these suggestions can be expressed.
Trepidation is surely the key word.
Personally, I like to see peoples views and I certainly don't agree with them all.
Is'nt that the idea of a site like this?
Surely you won't abandon PH just because you disagree with a few folks opinions?
Stick around. I'm sure you'll relish the TIV lovers/New TIV doubters final conclusion when Blackpool starts producing the next metamorphis of the best loved sports car in the UK.

I pretty much gave up posting on the Tuscan forum months ago because of all the stupid posts from various morons.
It's a shame because PH used to be really constructive, when I bought my car it was invaluable. The price of success is the influx of trolls I guess.

edited to add- is it just me that doubts whether the pontificating LA really knows what he's talking about? From his patronising posts I'd bet he's never sat in a TVR let alone owned one (prove me wrong LA!).

I have been watching this thread develop and have enjoyed the last few posts.
Most of you are being very charitable to Albundy and keep encouraging him to stay.
Frankly I think his initial post was condescending, anti-democratic and full of puffed up self-importance.
If he doesn't like to hear different opinions to his own and thinks he's the only TVR fan left in the world perhaps it is better off he drops his membership and starts talking into a dictaphone for repeated self-gratifying replays.
(This is of course a surgical not a psychiatric opinion
).
