Sweet smell of petrol in the morning!!!!

Not quite sure if it's a problem but a couple of people have said there's a strong smell of petrol if they are following me..

As far as I can tell the car isn't any different to normal. Performance is more or less the same. MPG is the same (250 -280 per tank). Car is running real good at the moment so why the smell.

Is it just the decat and sports letting more fumes through or is it something more sinister????

Not sure bout your petrol smell, but people following me smell 'burning rubber'!...

I reckon the phrase, you can't make an omellette without breaking eggs is appropriate here - How are you going to get those wonderful pops and bangs if there's no fuel to burn in the exhaust?

FWIW, I think you've answered your own question, no cats and a virtually straight through sports exhaust.
