My drivers side mirror glass is coming out - I bought some adhesives (number plate stickies) and assume its perfectly ok to pull glass out carefully and just reattach?

Bouble sided tape does the job, or use those velcro pads because the adhesive is pretty strong . I found that the heat for the mirror demist caused the adhesive to warm up and loose its stick, so I cut the leccie cables and taped them up .

Perhaps that is why the mirror started falling out, I stuck it back, the number plate adhesives were pretty sticky, Im sure it will stay put.

I took have the wires for demist, but there is no switch to turn it on and I don't think it has ever worked.

Mine are heated and electrically movable and they fold back or forward when parking in narrow streets.

But they did used to belong to an Audi TT
