Either my speedo is lying or everyone does less than 50mph on the motorway!
It moves but not the right speed. When I had my tappets done the mechanic felt is was more of an electronic fault but by his own admission wasnt totaly clued up.
Anyone got any ideas, or had this problem before?

I know this sounds daft but is your blower switched on?
This is normal on an S series!

Also, mine had a poor connection behind the speedo which gave the same problem, wiggle the wires to the speedo when you are driving and if it flicks around you may have a poor connection.
