I had to replace my battery nearly 2 months ago. The type I had was 069. But I couldn't get that type with a lip on the end. I ended up buying a Lion Battery, type 031, 70AH from Euro Car Parts. It was a perfect fit and it had the lip in the right place so that it could safely be clamped down. So far no issues.
As for going to Halfords. I'm sure they may do the battery you want. But I was warned they tend to be quite pricey!
