Fiat 126 Help.
Discussion
My Dad (old numpty) has a 126 as his numpty runaround. It sounds like a bag of nails.
We haven't been able to get it to run right and so today whilst giving it a test run, I dropped it into second. The engine revved to about 6000 and there was a LOUD bang (like a backfire) the whole car started vibrating like hell. No clanking, just vibration. I wondered if the counterbalance had come off the crank but this seems really unlikely.
It is related to the engine, not drive/gearbox etc. I think it might have snapped a rod and be running on one cylinder. Any ideas?
So, the engine is shagged. What can I bolt on instead without too much trouble. VW? Bike? What? thanks..stu

There is a fellow down your way by the name of Andreas - he is a total nutter if that helps
He collects 126's and runs an annual 126 demolition derby. He also modifies them to various degrees, if you're interested I will see if I can get hold of him as he may have some good ideas for you
