They can hardly do worse than Fiat!
Alfa deserves better than it currently gets, perhaps someone else should get a chance.
Have to give you, from a business point of view is good for Alfa. Also we might actually get some interesting cars, but you have to worry about Germams in charge of an Italian marque. They are somewhat polar opposites. Although maybe we'll get a cheap Lambo!Alfa deserves better than it currently gets, perhaps someone else should get a chance.

yeah i grabbed that from Bloomberg...doesn't R8 = cheap(ish) lambo?
Not sure an Alfa Romeo within VAG would appeal to me. You see in the design world, Spanish design is similar to Italian design, a little quirky and flamboyant but still effortlessly stylish and sophisticated. SEAT could very easily be VAGs Alfa Romeo but look what is happening to them, designs converging with VW, Skoda and Audi, even using old Audi bodyshell designs. Sitting in a SEAT you feel as if you could be in any of those cars so what's the point? VAG would destroy AR as we know it..........

I agree. They should concentrate on making SEAT into what they want Alfa to be and leave Alfa to be further ruined by the Italians. I havent seen an Alfa produced (apart from the 8C) that I would like to buy since the 75.
Is it the RWD thing you like? I think the 156 and 166 were real Alfa Romeo cars too in every way (except maybe for some which wheels the engine powered)No its not just the RWD thing. I think the 156 was a good car that they didnt capitalise on properly. The 166 and GTV whilst nice looking cars were very small internally for their market segment. I was not a fan of the GTV or its spider variant. I dont think the Giulietta really fits the brand either.
