i am seeking a xk8 or xkr. I have found one here http://goo.gl/9k30I
The listing ended but the car is still there I was informed by the owner.
Maybe someone living near could take a quick look at it if it is worth further investigation.
I will if it is ok send someone from the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, which I am member of, to make an expertise for me. Since I live in Germany I cannot go there for a quick view myself...

Best regards and thanks in advance

Not in London, sorry I can't help, but wish you the best in your search for a car.

your best bet would be to ask the vendor to take the car to the nearest independent jaguar specialist. am sure the garage will be happy to do a through appraisal (for a fee).

Even if the car was 'Just arround the corner from me' I would be reluctant to advise someone else

So I had a look, to me without heving it on a hoist etc I reported back 'Looks fine to me'

So you purchase and find this and that wrong. Where would that leeve me. Could you claim I had given bad advice

Accepted, but what you can do is take a sheaf of pictures and note any flaws.

You certainly can, and I still appreciate your help when I purchased my XK8!

As stated all I asked was a quick look at it if she is worth a closer inspection. But ok. I sourced another one to be inspected tomorrow...

I did a similar thing on a Porsche 944, took a good look, took some photos and then fed back the issues I could see and my overall view, saved the guy a 3 hour drive each way to look at it as there were some standard issues present that the asking price and description hadn't taken account of

Certainly am, nearly 20k miles in it now, a few issues initially which were probably because it hadn't been used for ages but it still makes me feel good each time I drive it!
