CHIN WAG IN GRETNA AREA
Discussion
We can make it to Gretna but both Jagos are being worked on at moment and not ready for the roads, happy to meet for a brew [or something stronger!] and a natter.
? A Sunday lunch time eg 10th October, as there is a big open air market with cheap odds and sods for motorists, as well as the other shops. Last time I went a bloke tried to sell me a Ford Capri!

Hi,
Market runs from early morning, only been a couple of times but by afternoon some traders pack up, presumably when all of the kangaroo meat has been sold!
Robbie is right in that Gretna is easy to navigate; market is on West side of town and there is a dedicated car park.
Plenty of choice for food- pubs, hotels full of eloping couples and a bistro type place in the Gretna Gateway shopping/factory outlet precinct, again with loads of car parking.
Send me a private email and I'll send you my phone numbers so that we can tighten up the arrangements.
All the best
Mike

Hi,
It went well a nice day just a little nip in the air in the morning but got colder as the day went on. Market not very big, but was good to meet everyone. Next time will try to be in more clement weather summertime perhaps then everybody could have their Geep's there as well.
Mike has taken photos of my Geep for his file it is good that his son is showing an interest in them as well. I'm hoping to keep in touch with everybody.
I hope Lynda's knee get's better soon.

Logibear here
Lynda and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. I picked the offending stick up ( the one she tripped over grazing her knee ) on the way back to the car and we will ceremonially bury it in the North Sea at Newbiggin. Look forward to a re-meet in the good weather - thanks Mike and Robbie
